About the Texas Double
The course loops Bachman Lake in Dallas, a flat route with a couple of small rises near the dam and the start area. It is chip timed and USATF sanctioned, though the course is currently under construction and not certified. The surroundings are open and park-like, and the looping format means you pass familiar scenery repeatedly as the distance adds up.
The host hotel is about a mile from the course and runs a shuttle to the nearby airport, which simplifies things if you are flying in. Volunteers and aid stations are spread through the course.
