The race runs at Flag Pole Hill in Dallas, a park with open space that makes it easy to follow the course and feel the crowd around you. It started as a fundraiser for one family's daughter and is now the main annual event for a nonprofit supporting parents of medically complex children. The morning draws people who know Lily's story and people who are just there to run.
