About the Out of the Ashes 5k & Remembrance Walk

This is an evening race held at a church on the east side of Charlotte, and the whole event is built around remembrance. The run goes first, and once the course clears, a separate memorial walk follows. Both are open to runners who want to participate in each. The event benefits a foundation supporting families through pregnancy loss and infertility.

Packet pickup runs the evening before at the same church where the race is held. Parking is available on site. Same-day registration is also open, handled at a dedicated tent. Post-race, there is an awards and closing ceremony that stretches into the evening.
