About the Grateful Dad

The race runs out along the Springwater Corridor and back, starting and finishing at Sellwood Park. The trail is mostly flat and paved, passing through a stretch of the city that feels removed from traffic. Several distance options share the same course, so you will see runners spread out in both directions as the morning goes on.

Aid stations along the longer courses carry water, sports drink, gels, and gummy chews, with toilets at each stop. The course crosses city roads in a few places, and volunteers are posted at some of them, but runners are expected to watch traffic themselves. Pancakes are waiting at the finish.
