About the Bigfoot Classic - Dallas

The Bigfoot Classic runs through Texas parkland, with a wooded, outdoor character to it. The course threads through natural terrain rather than pavement-heavy roads, and the setting is the main draw. Distance options range from a short dash to a half marathon, so the field tends to be a mixed group of paces and goals.

The post-race area has some personality. A DJ keeps things moving while each finisher's name gets called out over the mic. There is a costume contest where runners dress as Bigfoot or other mythical creatures, with the crowd voting on the winner. Snacks and drinks are set up at the race rally tent when you cross the line.

Common Questions About the Bigfoot Classic - Dallas

Will I finish last at the Bigfoot Classic - Dallas?

Almost certainly not. Half the 3.11 Miles field finished slower than 36:04, and the last recorded finisher came in around 1:14:17, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Bigfoot Classic - Dallas a good first 3.11 Miles?

A field of 211 is big enough that you will have company at your pace without feeling lost in a crowd. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 3.11 Miles, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Bigfoot Classic - Dallas?

The 3.11 Miles winner ran 18:16 while the median finisher took 36:04. That spread points to a broad, mostly recreational field rather than a race dominated by club runners.

Where can I train for the Bigfoot Classic - Dallas?

Join a local run club. 214 Run Club, Dallas Running Club, Run It Up Dallas and others in Dallas welcome runners of all paces, and a weekly group run is the most reliable way to hold a training block together.
