About the 6000 Sisters, 6000 Steps for Hope Breast Cancer Walk
This is a breast cancer awareness walk organized by Sisters Network Dallas Inc., honoring African American women affected by the disease. The route is untimed, so walkers set their own pace. There is also a health expo on site, with healthcare and healthy living exhibitors to visit before or after the walk. Children who are not yet teenagers do not need to register.
Pickup for those who registered early runs on a couple of evenings in the weeks before the event, at two different Dallas locations. The organizer's notes mention a PDF with parking details and a course map, and remind participants to follow posted signs on the day, since tent and start locations can shift.
