About This Club

Run Dirty Club is a free, no-membership social run based out of Sunridge Park in Chula Vista, on the South Bay side of San Diego. It's built around two weekly meetups, Saturday mornings and a Wednesday evening, with all paces and walkers explicitly welcome. This is a good fit if you live in the South Bay and want a low-barrier way to start running with other people nearby.

  • South Bay focus
  • Inclusive diversity
  • Park-based starts
  • Welcoming community
  • Route exploration
  • Group runs

Who It Suits

This suits beginners, walkers, and social runners in the South Bay who want a casual, recurring reason to run near home, no sign-up, no cost, no gear standard to meet. It's not built for elite racers chasing splits, and if you're coming from North County the location in Chula Vista just isn't convenient for a regular weekly habit. It's also not set up for strollers or dogs, so leave those at home.

What a Run With Them Is Like

Routes run through the park itself, into the surrounding neighborhood, and along coastal stretches, so you get a mix of terrain rather than the same loop every time. Pace is open, all paces welcome, and walkers are part of the mix, not an afterthought. Distances are described as various and group-paced rather than fixed, so the run shapes itself around who shows up.

Your First Run

Head to Sunridge Park in Chula Vista, either Saturday at 7am or Wednesday at 6:30pm, and get there early rather than right at start time. Because walkers and all paces are explicitly welcome, showing up without a race background isn't a mismatch here, that's who the group is set up for.

Check their social channels beforehand since that's where updates get posted. Nobody expects you to keep pace with anyone, the group's whole structure assumes a range of speeds from the start.
