About This Club
Pacific Beach Run Club is a free, no-membership 5K group that meets from Bonita Cove twice a week. It's built around accordion pacing and regular hangs afterward, so it suits people who want running to come with a social payoff rather than a training log.

Who It Suits
This is a fit for beginners, dog owners, and people who want a low-pressure 5K with a social scene attached, the events calendar includes things like pickleball, beach parties, and an annual PBRC Prom. It's not built for elite racers or anyone chasing longer distances, the distance here is 5K, full stop.

What a Run With Them Is Like
Every run is a 5K on road and beachside terrain, out of Bonita Cove. Pacing is accordion style, meaning the group stops to regroup, so faster and slower runners aren't split off and left to fend for themselves. All paces are welcome and walkers are welcome too.
Your First Run
Submit the online waiver before you show up, then just get yourself to Bonita Cove for the Wednesday 6pm or Saturday 8:30am run. Because of the accordion pacing, there's no version of this where you get dropped and left running alone, the group stops to regroup along the way.
If you're worried about pace, that's the point of the format, and if you're worried about knowing no one, check Instagram beforehand for where the post-run social is happening, that's where the actual mingling happens. Bring your dog if you've got one, just keep them leashed within 2 feet.

Where this comes from: Club details come from each club’s own channels (their site, Meetup, Strava and social posts) and are checked by hand. Group runs move, so confirm the meeting spot on the club’s latest post before you head out. Last updated April 2026.
