About This Club

Oregon Brewery Running Series puts on untimed 5K run/walk events at different breweries across Portland, Oregon, and SW Washington, each one starting and finishing at the host taproom. The $40-$45 entry covers a craft beer and seasonal merchandise or a collector's glass, so the post-run hang is built right into the ticket. If you want a low-pressure reason to explore a new brewery and actually move your legs first, this is designed around exactly that.

  • Craft beer included
  • Seasonal merchandise
  • Collector's glassware
  • Live music
  • Yard games
  • Giveaways

Who It Suits

This suits casual runners, walkers, and anyone who is more interested in the social side of being active than hitting a PR. If you are training for a race and need a structured long run or a specific pace workout, this is not that - but it pairs well with a heavier training week as a fun recovery outing.

What a Run With Them Is Like

Every event is a 5K on city streets, untimed, and they encourage you to walk, jog, or run however you want. There is no gun-start race energy here, no chip, no pace group pressure.

Because the route starts and ends at the brewery, you will always know where you are headed back to. Typical start times run around 10:00-11:00 AM on Saturdays, though that shifts depending on which brewery is hosting, so check the specific event before you show up.

Your First Run

When you arrive, head to the host brewery taproom - that is the meeting point and the finish line. You do not need to know anyone; people tend to show up solo or in pairs and fall in with whoever is nearby.

Because the run is untimed and walkers are explicitly welcome, being at the back of the pack is a completely normal place to be. After you finish, the event stays open at the taproom with your included beer, food, live music, yard games, and giveaways, which means there is a natural reason to stick around rather than feeling like you need to disappear quickly.
