About This Club

Latinos Run LA is the Los Angeles chapter of Latinos Run, a national organization built around uplifting the Latino community through fitness and representation. They meet every Wednesday evening at Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Mall, and the whole thing, the run at least, is free to show up to. If you have been looking for a group that reflects your community on the start line, this is built with that specifically in mind.

Who It Suits

This group is specifically oriented around the Latino community, so if that sense of shared identity and representation matters to you in a running space, you will feel that here. It is also genuinely beginner-friendly, with a walk option built into every single week, so you do not need a running background to show up on Wednesday. If you are looking for a pace-focused training group chasing PRs, this is probably not your Wednesday.

What a Run With Them Is Like

Every Wednesday starts with a HIIT class at 6:20pm, donation-based if you want to contribute, then the group goes into either a 5K run or a 2-mile walk. They say the terrain includes inclines, so expect some real hills rather than a flat loop. Having both a run and a walk option every single week means you are not choosing between keeping up and showing up.

Your First Run

Head to Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Mall and find the old Walmart main entrance on the ground level, near the LAPD station entrance. That is your landmark. You do not need to register ahead of time or pay anything to run with them.

If you are nervous about pace, the fact that walkers are genuinely welcome every week, not as an afterthought, means nobody is going to make you feel like you are holding the group back by taking the 2-mile walk option while you get a feel for things.
