About This Club

Venice Run Club is a free, community-led club that runs three times a week out of Venice, covering track workouts, road runs, and boardwalk miles depending on the day. They offer multiple pace groups and distance options, so you are not locked into one speed or one mileage commitment. It suits people who want structure and company without paying for either.

Who It Suits

If you want variety across the week - a track session, a mid-week social run, and a longer Saturday effort - this club gives you all three without any cost.

The multiple distances on Saturday and the pace groups on Wednesday make it workable if you are newer to running or coming back from a break. If you want a single weekly run and nothing more structured, three sessions a week may be more than you are looking for.

What a Run With Them Is Like

Tuesday evenings head to a track in Culver City at 7:00 PM, which is a different feel from the road runs mid-week and on weekends. Wednesday evenings start at 6:30 PM and include pace groups, with a slower group running around a 10:45-per-mile pace.

Saturday mornings kick off at 8:30 AM and offer multiple distance options ranging from 4.5 miles up to 10-plus miles, so you can pick what your legs have that day. The terrain across the three runs covers track, road, street, and boardwalk.

Your First Run

Head to 2150 Dell Ave in Venice and look for the group - that is the consistent meeting spot. Because they run multiple pace groups on Wednesdays, showing up a little early and asking which group fits you best is a smart move rather than guessing.

The slower Wednesday pace group runs around 10:45 per mile, so if that sounds about right for where you are, you already know where to slot in. There is no membership, no fee, and no sign-up process, so first-timers just show up.
