About This Club

DC Run Crew is a social running organization based in Washington DC that mixes HIIT with running, so you're building fitness, not just logging miles. They run on Mondays and Saturdays, and they say they welcome athletes of all abilities and backgrounds. It's free to show up.

  • Free weekly workouts
  • Cross-training focus
  • Community connection
  • Multiple fitness levels
  • Experienced coaches

Who It Suits

This club suits you well if you want structured, coached workouts rather than an informal group jog, and if you're somewhere between complete beginner and seasoned runner - there's a lane for all three. If you're looking for a pure easy-pace social trot with no HIIT component on Mondays, this probably isn't the right fit.

What a Run With Them Is Like

Monday workouts happen weekly at 7 PM at 1820 Erie St SE and combine HIIT with the run, so expect to work harder than a standard group jog. Saturday long runs are bi-weekly and rotate locations, so check their page before you head out to confirm the spot.

They split into three pace groups: Pace-It-Easy for beginners and cardio builders, an Intermediate Crew with multiple levels, and an Advanced Crew for experienced runners, which means you can pick the group that fits where you actually are right now, not where you wish you were.

Your First Run

Show up to 1820 Erie St SE on a Monday at 7 PM - that's the weekly workout and the one where all fitness levels are specifically encouraged to come out. When you arrive, you'll choose which crew level fits your experience; if you're new to running or just getting back into cardio, Pace-It-Easy is exactly what it sounds like.

Turning up alone is normal here - this is a community club and meeting new people is the whole point. It costs nothing to come, so your only commitment is showing up.
