About This Club

DC Pynk Run Club meets every Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Dupont Circle fountain, and it is built specifically for queer women, trans, and nonbinary runners. They say community and inclusion come before speed here, and that shows up in a real way: walkers are welcome alongside runners, and nobody is getting dropped for being slow.

Who It Suits

If you are a queer woman, trans, or nonbinary person who wants a running space that was made with you in mind, this is that. If you are chasing PRs and want a hard workout group that pushes tempo pace, this is probably not your Tuesday night.

What a Run With Them Is Like

Most Tuesday runs cover 2-5 miles on roads and paved trails at a social pace around 10 minutes per mile. They also do collaborative Sapphic Sunday runs with TVOP that dial the pace back to 11-13 minutes per mile, which is a genuinely comfortable range if you are still building your base.

Distance options vary, so if you are not sure which group is right for you on a given night, just ask when you get there.

DistanceWalk option (casual), 3-5 miles, 2-3 miles
PaceSocial pace around 10 minutes per mile for regular runs; collaborative runs with TVOP run at 11-13 minutes per mile.

Post-runSome collaborative Sapphic Sunday runs end at a local cafe or bakery for socializing.

Your First Run

Show up to the Dupont Circle fountain a few minutes before 6:30 p.m. on a Tuesday and you will find the group there. You do not need to sign up or pay anything in advance - it is free and open.

If you are nervous about pace, the walk option is a real option, not a consolation prize. Showing up alone is genuinely normal here; this is a club built around the idea that belonging matters more than what you ran last weekend.
