About This Club

3ROC Run Club is a trail running group based out of 3 Rivers Outdoor Co., a gear shop in Regent Square, that runs Frick Park every Tuesday night. It's built for trail runners of a wide range of abilities, with four separate pace groups so nobody's guessing where they fit. It runs rain or shine, year-round, so this suits someone who wants a consistent weekly trail run rather than a fair-weather one.

Who It Suits

This suits trail runners who want a no-drop, all-abilities weekly run with an easy on-ramp, including beginners, since Party Pace and the shop setting keep the barrier to entry low. It's not the fit for committed road runners or people chasing competitive, fast-paced group runs, since the terrain is all trail and the four groups top out at 10 min/mile. Dogs and strollers aren't part of the setup, so leave them home.

What a Run With Them Is Like

You'll head out on Frick Park trails in one of four no-drop groups: 10 min/mile, 11 min/mile, or 12 min/mile covering 5-6 miles, or Party Pace at 13-14 min/mile covering 3-5 miles. No-drop means the group you pick stays together rather than stringing out and leaving people behind. In winter or after dark you'll want a headlamp since the trails aren't lit.

Your First Run

Show up at 3 Rivers Outdoor Co. at 6pm on a Tuesday, that's the meeting point and where groups sort out before heading onto the trail. Any pace is genuinely welcome here, and with a dedicated Party Pace group at 13-14 min/mile, you won't be the one holding up a faster pack.

It's free and there's no membership or sign-up required to show, so you can just walk in the door. Bring a headlamp if it'll be dark by the time you're out.
