About the Wilkins Township Halloween 5K Run-Walk
The course runs through the Penhurst neighborhood and returns to the elementary school where it starts. Residents come out along the way, so there is a real sense of the community watching from their own front yards. Costumes are common, and the race benefits local volunteer fire departments.
Dogs and other pets are not allowed on the course. The proceeds support volunteer fire departments in the township, which gives the whole morning a local-cause feel beyond the Halloween theme.
