About the 4th-Annual Raible Run to Remember
This race is a memorial run honoring a lieutenant colonel from Pittsburgh who died in the line of duty. It runs through the city with chip timing and a live leaderboard at the finish line. The course has a genuine weight to it, and the crowd reflects that, drawing veterans, ROTC units, and families alongside runners.
After the finish there is a ceremony honoring LtCol Raible, so most people stick around. The post-race area includes food vendors and a participant village with games and raffles. The tone is respectful but not somber throughout.
