About the Turkey Day 5K Tampa Bay
The course runs along the Upper Tampa Bay Trail, a paved waterfront path with open water views. It is a road race with no significant elevation to worry about, so the effort is mostly about pace. Costumes are encouraged, and plenty of people show up in turkey gear, which makes the field look more like a parade than a time trial.
Parking is available at Citrus Park Sports Association, right near the start and finish. A larger lot at the nearby mall is also an option if that fills up, though it adds a short walk each way. Packet pickup runs race morning before the start, and portable bathrooms are set up in the Citrus Park lot.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2025 results, this is a decent-sized field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The Turkey Day 5K Tampa Bay has been held every year since at least 2025. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
