About the Wearin' of the Green 5K Shamrock Run

The course runs along Perkins Road, swings onto E Lakeshore Drive, loops around toward Dalrymple, and comes back through Magnolia Drive to finish at the physical therapy office where it started. You are running the tail end of the St. Patrick's Day parade route, so the streets are familiar to anyone who has watched the parade roll through Baton Rouge.

Packet pickup is available the day before at a local green-space organization on Christian Street, or on race morning behind Moreau Physical Therapy before the start. The post-race party is also behind Moreau's, with food, drinks, and entertainment. The parade steps off later that same morning, so many runners stay to watch.
