About the Run The Runway 5K Run and Fun Walk

The course runs on an actual airport runway, which makes for a flat, wide-open stretch unlike most road races in the area. The setting is industrial and oddly spacious, with nothing blocking the horizon, and the surface underfoot is smooth tarmac the whole way.

Registration and parking are based at Helix Aviation Academy, right at the airport. After the race, there is an after-party with live music, food, drinks, and activities for kids, so the morning tends to stretch into a full family outing rather than a quick out-and-back.
