About the Vinings Down Hill 5K Run for the Kids

The course starts at the top of a hill and drops sharply toward The Lovett School, where the finish line sits. It is not a pure descent; there are a few short climbs scattered through the route, so your legs do get tested. The surrounding area feels suburban and leafy, and the downhill stretches are long enough to let you open up and move.

After the finish, the post-race gathering moves to Vinings Jubilee, an outdoor shopping area nearby, with food, music, and an awards ceremony. The Doggie Dash and costume contest runs alongside the main race, so expect dogs in the crowd and a loose, unhurried scene around the start and finish.
