About the Race for a Healthier World 5K
The course runs a couple of loops around the North Convention building at the Orange County Convention Center, entirely on flat paved roadway. Passing the finish line partway through is a natural split point, and faster runners move left while everyone else keeps right. Costumes are encouraged, and there is a Most Spirited award for creative ones.
Packet pickup happens at the convention center in the days before the race, with race-morning pickup also available for those who cannot make it earlier. Transportation is provided from the convention center to the start area, so you do not need to sort out your own way to the course. A light breakfast with coffee is set up at the finish.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2025 results, this is a decent-sized field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The Race for a Healthier World 5K has been held every year since at least 2023. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
