About the McNeese Cowboy Club 5k Gallop & Kids 1K Round Up Fun Run

The course starts near an alumni center and winds through the athletic campus and surrounding streets before finishing inside the stadium. Most of it is flat road running, but there is a hill near the end worth knowing about before you get there. The route takes you past a cowboy statue and through the streets bordering campus, looping back in from the neighborhood side.

Packet pickup runs the afternoon before at a local running store on Ryan Street, with race-morning pickup available at the Alumni Pavilion before the start. Awards are handed out once results are tabulated, with age group categories for the road race and recognition for all kids finishers.
