About the Grant Heffelfinger Memorial Big Gay 5K
The race is held at Veterans Park in Milwaukee, along the lakefront, and is sanctioned by USA Track & Field. It is named in memory of Grant Heffelfinger and hosted by Milwaukee Gay Sports Network in partnership with his family. The course is open to runners and walkers, and the event draws a crowd that reflects the broader LGBTQ sports community in the city.
