About the Schlitz Park Run by the River 5K

The course winds along the Milwaukee Riverwalk, through a residential neighborhood, and into Schlitz Park, a sprawling office campus built inside the bones of a historic brewery. Running through it at dusk gives the route a different texture than a typical weekend morning race. The surrounding streets have character, and the park itself is worth seeing up close.

The race is held in the evening, which changes the feel of the whole morning pre-race routine. There is also a kids' short run for younger family members, free to enter but requiring advance registration. The event raises money for a fund that supports Milwaukee's first responders.

Common Questions About the Schlitz Park Run by the River 5K

Will I finish last at the Schlitz Park Run by the River 5K?

Almost certainly not. Half the 3.1 Miles field finished slower than 28:09, and the last recorded finisher came in around 53:27, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.
