About the Santas On The Loose
The course winds through Webster Groves, a neighborhood of tree-lined streets and older homes that gives the run a distinctly residential feel. Most participants show up in holiday costumes, so the scene along the route is more parade than race. The roads are flat enough that the costuming is the real challenge, not the terrain.
Packet pickup runs on the two days before the race at a local shop on Big Bend Boulevard, with race-morning pickup available at the start area. Water is at the finish line, so bring anything you need to drink along the way. First-place finishers get their awards shortly after crossing at a sponsor booth near the finish.
