About the Ride 4A Reason 2027
This is a charity cycling ride from Oakland to Sacramento, with several distance options to suit different legs. The longest route covers the full stretch from Oakland Technical High School through Bay Area communities all the way to the state capitol. Shorter routes start at points along the way, with shuttle buses running from Oakland Tech to those start lines.
All routes finish at the State Capitol, where there is a catered lunch and a rally focused on public education funding. Return transportation to Oakland is available by chartered bus or Amtrak, but bus seats need to be reserved ahead of time. Bikes travel back by truck if you take the bus.
