The course runs several loops around Gadsden Park, a setting that keeps the surroundings green and familiar throughout. It is chip-timed but not certified, so the distance is honest without being official. The race supports Dogs Inc, which pairs guide and service dogs with veterans at no cost to them, and that mission is the reason most people show up.
Packet pickup happens on race-morning at the park before the start, so there is no separate trip the day before. Pre-registration is required; the park does not allow race-day sign-ups. Service dogs are welcome on the course, though other dogs are not permitted.
