About the Lost Souls - The Race That Finds You
The course is a short, punishing trail loop at Settlers Cabin Park, west of Pittsburgh. Each circuit climbs steeply, and the terrain is rough enough that the elevation gain adds up fast. The format is open-ended: run one loop for the experience, or keep going for as many as you can manage within the time window, starting each new loop whenever you feel ready.
When you decide you are done, you ring a bell. That is the finish line here, whenever it comes. There is no set distance you have to hit, which puts the pressure squarely on you to decide how deep to go. Runners chasing the full distance earn podium consideration; everyone else leaves with a wooden keepsake marking exactly how far they got.
