About the Lawndale 5K
The Lawndale 5K is a neighborhood race on Chicago's west side, organized by a local Christian fitness center whose health programs benefit from the proceeds. The course runs through the Lawndale area, so the crowd along the route tends to be people who actually live there, not spectators bused in for the occasion.
Packets can be picked up in the days before the race at the Green Tomato Cafe on Ogden Avenue, with race-morning pickup available as well. The organizers suggest grabbing your packet early to avoid a wait.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2025 results, this is a big field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The Lawndale 5K has been held every year since at least 2019. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
