About the Hungry Dog Dash 2027
The course runs along a waterway in the Liberty Station area of Point Loma, and the route is flat the whole way. Dogs on leashes are welcome, so expect a fair number of four-legged participants mixed into the field. The race benefits the local high school's cross country program, which gives the morning a specific neighborhood connection rather than a generic charitable one.
Packet pickup is the day before at a running store a few miles from the course, and picking up then is worth it to avoid lines at the start. Race morning pickup is available, but the organizers ask that you leave yourself extra time. There is live music and food at the finish.
