About the Hearts of Valor 5k & Health Expo
The course runs through Al Lopez Park, a green open space on Tampa's west side. The route is suited to a range of paces, and the surrounding park setting keeps things pleasant underfoot. Alongside the run, there is a health expo with community vendors and free heart health screenings, which gives the morning a broader purpose than the race alone.
The event is set up for a full morning, with check-in opening well before the start. Post-race, the expo and family activities continue, so there is reason to linger. Parking is in and around the park itself.
