Winston-Salem has earned its Runner Friendly Community designation in tangible ways: Salem Lake's crushed-gravel loop is the city's signature long-run anchor, the Salem Creek Greenway threads through Old Salem and connects back to it, and group runs cluster around Bailey Park and Reynolda Village. Racing here feels like a natural extension of how the city already moves.
