About the Lucky 5K/10K/Half Marathon - Winston Salem
The course runs a flat loop through Jamison Park, repeated depending on your distance. The terrain stays even throughout, which keeps pacing straightforward. The park setting gives you something to look at, and the loop format means the finish area is never far away. The race has a shamrock theme, so expect green everywhere.
Packet pickup opens on race morning about an hour before the start, right at the race site. There is no separate pre-race pickup day mentioned, so plan to arrive with a little extra time. Registration is also open that morning, which makes it easy to bring someone along who decided at the last minute.
