About the Green Park Viking Dash
The course starts and finishes at a Lutheran school and winds through the surrounding neighborhood before picking up Grant's Trail. It is a road and trail mix, mostly flat, with the feel of a school fundraiser run rather than a strict racing environment. Families with kids in tow are a big part of the crowd.
Packet pickup runs the evening before the race and again on race morning at the school. School families get packets sent home with their kids ahead of time. On race day, there are kids' activities and both a coffee truck and a shaved-ice truck on site.
