About the Chicago Chinatown 5K Run
The course runs through the streets of Chicago's Chinatown neighborhood, starting and finishing at a park along the river. The surroundings are the draw here: storefronts, signage, and the general texture of one of the city's most distinct neighborhoods fill the route. It is a road race on flat city streets, open to runners and walkers alike.
The race is put on by a nonprofit that runs youth programs in the Chinatown community, so the entry fees go somewhere specific. A virtual option exists for people who cannot make it in person. Packet pickup details and post-race specifics have not been announced yet, but the start area is Ping Tom Park on Wentworth Avenue.
