Sacramento Run Club
Sacramento, California
Inclusive social hub for Sacramento's diverse runners
About This Club
Sacramento Run Club meets at Sacramento Running Company and is built around two weekly runs plus social events separate from the running itself. It's a newer club in the city with a stated focus on diversity and community, and it's set up for people who want company on a run more than a training plan.

Who It Suits
This fits beginners, people who want a social run rather than a race-pace workout, and anyone looking for a diverse, low-barrier group in Sacramento. It's not built for competitive racers chasing splits, and since the terrain is road only, trail runners won't find what they're after here.

What a Run With Them Is Like
Wednesdays at 6:00pm, the SRC team leads runs of 3 or 5 miles from Sacramento Running Company. Saturdays at 8:00am there's a 3-mile run done in collaboration with Miles Due, starting from Temple Coffee. Everything is on road, and the club states all paces and levels are welcome, including walkers.
Your First Run
Show up at Sacramento Running Company for the Wednesday run, or Temple Coffee for the Saturday one, a few minutes before start time. Check the club's social media beforehand since schedules and details get posted there. Walk breaks are fine and beginners are explicitly welcome, so you don't need to worry about matching anyone's speed. Since there's no membership or fee, you can just turn up and run without signing up first.

Common Questions About Sacramento Run Club
Do I need to pay or sign up before showing up?
No. It's free to join and there's no membership required, so you can just show up to a run.
Can I bring my dog or a stroller?
The club is not set up as dog-friendly or stroller-friendly, so it's best to leave both at home for these runs.
What if I want to run further or shorter than the group?
Wednesdays offer a choice between a 3-mile and 5-mile route led by the SRC team, so you can pick the distance that suits you that day.
Is there anything besides the actual runs?
Yes, the club runs social events outside of the running times themselves, part of its emphasis on community beyond just logging miles.
Where does the Saturday run start, and is it different from Wednesday?
Saturday's 3-mile run starts at Temple Coffee and is done in partnership with Miles Due, separate from the Wednesday runs based at Sacramento Running Company.
Where this comes from: Club details come from each club’s own channels (their site, Meetup, Strava and social posts) and are checked by hand. Group runs move, so confirm the meeting spot on the club’s latest post before you head out. Last updated April 2026.
