About This Club

Sacramento Run Club meets at Sacramento Running Company and is built around two weekly runs plus social events separate from the running itself. It's a newer club in the city with a stated focus on diversity and community, and it's set up for people who want company on a run more than a training plan.

Who It Suits

This fits beginners, people who want a social run rather than a race-pace workout, and anyone looking for a diverse, low-barrier group in Sacramento. It's not built for competitive racers chasing splits, and since the terrain is road only, trail runners won't find what they're after here.

What a Run With Them Is Like

Wednesdays at 6:00pm, the SRC team leads runs of 3 or 5 miles from Sacramento Running Company. Saturdays at 8:00am there's a 3-mile run done in collaboration with Miles Due, starting from Temple Coffee. Everything is on road, and the club states all paces and levels are welcome, including walkers.

Your First Run

Show up at Sacramento Running Company for the Wednesday run, or Temple Coffee for the Saturday one, a few minutes before start time. Check the club's social media beforehand since schedules and details get posted there. Walk breaks are fine and beginners are explicitly welcome, so you don't need to worry about matching anyone's speed. Since there's no membership or fee, you can just turn up and run without signing up first.
