About This Club

Orlando Social Run Club meets Thursday evenings in Ivanhoe, starting from City Food Hall in The Yard at Ivanhoe, with a run followed by happy hour. It's free to show up, no membership required, which makes it an easy weekly habit rather than a commitment. This suits people who want a reason to get moving midweek and then sit down with food and a drink afterward, not people chasing a training plan.

Who It Suits

This fits social runners, beginners, walkers, and anyone who wants casual fitness with a happy hour attached at the end. It's not built for competitive racers or anyone training for long distances, and since it runs Thursday evenings, it's not going to work for someone who only runs early mornings.

What a Run With Them Is Like

A coach leads a warmup before the group heads out for a 5K or a custom distance on urban trails, streets, and pavement around Ivanhoe. Pace covers everyone: running, walking, or a run-walk mix, so nobody is locked into one speed. Dogs are welcome on the run. Afterward the group heads back for happy hour with food and drink specials.

Your First Run

Head to City Food Hall in The Yard at Ivanhoe at 1412 Alden Rd, and it's worth checking Meetup beforehand since the exact meeting spot can shift. Get there a bit early to mingle before the warmup starts, since that's built into how the group operates.

You don't need to register or pay anything to join in, just show up. If you're worried about being slow, this isn't the group where that's an issue: walking and run-walk are explicitly part of how people move through the 5K.
