About the Worthy 5k
The course starts at a boat launch at the foot of a bridge over the river, so the surroundings are open water and sky. The route runs along the parkway, which keeps things mostly flat. The race is the primary fundraiser for a local youth mentoring troop, so the crowd skews toward families with boys in the program.
Packet pickup happens the evening before at a church in Bossier City, with race-morning pickup available at the start site. After you finish, the organizers serve pancakes alongside the usual post-race snacks, and they have them out before the gun goes off as well.

The Worthy 5k has been held every year since at least 2025. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
