About the Wakefield Firefighter's Relief Association Halloween Hustle
The route circles Lake Quannapowitt, which makes for a mostly flat loop with water views nearly the whole way. It starts and finishes at the Lower Common, so the crowd is waiting for you when you come back around. Costumes are common, and prizes go to the best-dressed adults and kids, which adds a lot of character to the field.
Food vendors and refreshments are set up at the finish, and the atmosphere there tends to linger. The race benefits the Firefighter Relief Fund, with proceeds going to help firefighters and their families in the area.

The Wakefield Firefighter's Relief Association Halloween Hustle has been held every year since at least 2024. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Oct 25, 2026.
