About the Mystic Runners Santa Dash Classic
Lake Quannapowitt sits at the center of the route, and the water stays in view through most of the run. The loop is flat, on roads open to the neighborhood, and the holiday theme draws a good number of costumes into the field. A kids fun run kicks things off first, which shapes the feel of the whole morning.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at the Lakeside Inn on North Ave, close to the lake. Race-morning registration and pickup are also available, well before the start. Proceeds go toward scholarships for graduating seniors from the surrounding towns, which gives the finish line a bit more purpose than usual.
