About the Upper Cumberland Haunted Half Marathon
The course starts on a university campus and works its way clockwise through downtown Cookeville before pushing out toward quieter residential streets on the edges of town. The early miles take you past city shops and traffic, then the pace of the surroundings settles down as you get further from the center. It is a road race on a loop, so the finish brings you back to where you started.
Several distance options share the same start and finish, including a relay format where a team splits the half marathon between them. Race morning tends to run cool out here, so layers at the start are worth thinking about.
