The course runs through Stony Creek Metropark, a wooded preserve with paved paths that stay relatively gentle throughout. The route works well for anyone moving at a comfortable pace, and the holiday theme means you will likely see some genuinely creative costume choices on the course. Hot coffee, cocoa, and cookies are at the finish.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at KidsUnited in Shelby Township. Parking and park admission are covered by registration. The race supports local food banks, and a portion of every entry goes directly to hunger relief.
