About the Turkey Trot Tune Up and Kid's Turkey Dash

The course follows Back Cove, a loop that is flat and scenic, with water in view for much of the run. Before the main race, kids in turkey headbands sprint a short dash, which tends to draw a crowd. Dogs on leash and strollers are welcome, though both are asked to line up at the back.

Pancakes are served after the race, and a portion of entry proceeds go to a local children's charity. There is also a post-race raffle on site. The race is organized by a local running store, and top finishers in each gender category earn store credit toward gear.
