About the Turkey Shuffle - Tulsa
Turkey Mountain Park is the setting, and it earns its name. The trails wind through wooded terrain with genuine elevation and enough tree cover to make fall running feel like fall running. Several distance options are available, from a short course suited to first-timers up to a longer trail loop, plus a kids sprint. The surroundings do the heavy lifting aesthetically.
Music plays throughout the morning, with a DJ announcing runners as they finish. Age group awards are presented on-site, and a Thanksgiving costume contest adds some noise near the finish. Snacks and refreshments are set up at the rally tent when you are done.
