About the Route 66 100th Anniversary - Runway Run 10K/5K
The course runs on an actual airport runway at Tulsa International, next to the Air and Space Museum. It is flat and open in the way that only a stretch of tarmac can be, with no shade, no turns to speak of, and a view that most runners never get from that angle. The museum itself is the backdrop the whole way.
Race-morning packet pickup and registration happen inside the museum, so you are checking in among the aircraft displays before heading out to the start. Parking is at the museum, off Port Road across from Mohawk Park. The museum is open to registered participants through the early afternoon.
