About the Tunnel to Towers Climb - Tampa, FL
This is a stair climb inside a downtown Tampa skyscraper, not a road race. You go up through two stairwells, with a short hallway transition near the top, and the stairwell winds right the whole way. Official timing ends a couple of floors below the roof, but the rooftop is open after you finish. First responders and military in full uniform go out ahead of the general field.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at a nearby street-level location, with race-morning pickup available as well. Parking is in a garage just down the block from the start. The climb begins after an opening ceremony, with elites and uniformed climbers going first. There are bailout floors with water along the way, and medics are on site throughout.
