About the Tillman Clocktower 5K & 2-Mile Health Walk
The course starts on a downtown street, climbs a hill in the middle mile where the clocktower sits, then circles back down to finish on a levee overlooking the Coosa River. The surrounding district sits between two rivers, and the route passes through the historic core of the city before opening up at Heritage Park.
Packet pickup runs the evening before the race at a church a few blocks from the start. On race morning, registration opens early at Heritage Park, where parking is available behind the levee and at an adjoining riverside park. Post-race massages and refreshments are set up in the park after the finish.
