About the 5K Breast Cancer Awareness Run & Health Walk
The course runs through Ridge Ferry Park on a mix of gravel paths and paved trails. It is mostly flat with one hill that comes and goes without much drama. The route is USATF-certified, so your time here counts toward Peachtree Road Race qualification. A costume contest before the start draws pink outfits from runners, walkers, and spectators alike.
Packet pickup is held the evening before the race at Academy Sports and Outdoors on Shorter Ave, with group pickup available a day earlier at the Parks and Recreation office on the same road. Race-morning pickup opens in the early afternoon. After the finish, there is fruit, Powerade, and water, followed by a survivor recognition ceremony near the stage.
