About the Model 5K faMily Trail Run/Walk
The course starts and finishes at a high school football stadium and covers a mix of wooded trail and paved road. There is a stretch of single-track trail behind a middle school football field, a longer wooded section along the back of campus, then a loop past a baseball stadium and around an elementary school before returning to the finish.
Parking is available in the lots around the stadium. Race-morning registration opens well before the start, and the post-race awards ceremony wraps up not long after the field finishes. The race benefits programs at Model High School.
