About the WIMPY MILE - THE FASTEST MILE IN DAHLONEGA!
The course starts flat at a downtown park, then tips onto Wimpy Mill Road and drops the whole way to a creek kayak launch at the finish. It is a net-downhill mile, so legs tend to turn over faster than expected. Dogs are welcome on the course, and costumes show up in the crowd around the holiday season.
Race-morning registration and packet pickup both open at the start area before the gun. After finishing, a shuttle is available back to the start for anyone who does not want to walk back. Awards happen at Hancock Park once the field is in, with post-race festivities there as well.
